Nelson Art Gallery and Studio is a collaboration between owners Denise Smith, the business half and Sandy Nelson, the artist half. Between the two of them, they have decades of experience in the art world. Our goal is to make the Nelson Art Gallery a destination where visitors will be rewarded with a day full of unexpected treats and small pleasures as they browse the gallery or participate in a class or workshop.

Our gallery and studio is located in the Lumina Commons shopping center, 1982 Eastwood Road, Wilmington, NC on the way to Wrightsville Beach. We’re just five minutes from the beach in an area of great shops and dining. For the out of town visitor or workshop participant looking for extra things to do, there are golf courses, boating, fishing and lots of special events and festivals.
